Correct stance - higher hind legs than front legs, long strong body, long legs, large paws, good boning	Perfect straight profile, rounded forehead and strong chin	The coat is given 25% of the points in the NFC Standard, and must be weatherproof and reasonably self-maintaining; never soft and fluffy.
In the colder months the NFC will develop a downy undercoat under the coarse outer guard hairs	Ears should follow the triangular outer lines of the head, and be topped by small tufts	Eyes should be obliquely set and alert. They can be of any colour.
